TOPAS, from Windmoeller & Hoelscher, is a high-capacity bagging system suitable for a great variety of products.
Based on the FFS principle (form, fill, seal), sack production, filling and closing are performed in a single operation. This represents the highest productivity level achievable in the filling process, and provides economic benefits over single-process machines.
The machines are designed for packaging free-flowing bulk products, e.g. plastic resins, fertilizers, salts and chemical products. Printed as well as unprinted side-gusseted tubing made from plastic film can be converted in the TOPAS system. This packaging material offers significant cost advantages compared to premade sacks, as well as more flexible sack filling and sealing.
Windmoeller & Hoelscher, headquartered in Lengerich, Germany, is a leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of flexographic and gravure printing presses, blown and cast film extrusion systems, multiwall equipment, plastic sack and bag-making machines, as well as form-fill-seal machinery for the converting and packaging industry.
